With a decade of experience as an industry leader, Mike Rivera is a professional who cares deeply about our craft. Whether it’s a small business, publication, or not-for-profit organization, Mike has photographed all walks of life on the road, telling stories through motion, sound, and photography. Mike has always been passionate about visual storytelling, which he has exercised for over a decade and is supported by a background in visual journalism. He has absorbed the importance of reaching digital and print audiences through the channels of large markets, such as ABC News, The Daily News, and The Daily Mail. The success of these previous endeavors led him to relocate to Chicago while working for the Chicago Tribune on the photo desk. In his latest endeavors, he has set out on a new career path of commercial and editorial-based work nationwide. He has worked with clients such as Wells Fargo, the University of Illinois Systems, Kimpton Hotels, Hilti, and more. He continues creating unique content while preserving clients’ integrity and service in photo and video campaigns on the road with subjects or in his studio in Ravenswood, Chicago.
