Giving Back Beyond the Camera: Gittings Global Gives in Chicago
At Gittings Global, our work often places us behind the camera, capturing leadership, professionalism, and trust for organizations around the world. But every so often, we step out from behind the lens to focus on something equally important: giving back to the communities we’re part of.
Recently, Gittings Global team members joined the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) Midwest Region in Chicago for a holiday volunteer event supporting the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The experience reflected the spirit of Gittings Global Gives, an initiative from our team focused on encouraging giving back and supporting those in need.
A Shared Commitment to Service
The volunteer event, hosted by LMA as part of its holiday giving efforts, brought together professionals from across the legal marketing community. Members from our photography and videography team traveled from Houston to Chicago to participate, underscoring the importance we place on showing up, not just professionally, but personally.
Over the course of a few hours, volunteers worked side by side to pack food boxes for seniors in need across the Chicago area. The Greater Chicago Food Depository plays a critical role in addressing food insecurity, particularly during the holiday season, when demand is high and resources are stretched.
By the end of the shift, the collective effort resulted in more than 29,000 pounds of food packed into over 900 boxes, each one destined to support seniors throughout the region. While the work itself was straightforward, the impact was anything but small.

Small Window, Meaningful Impact
In a relatively short amount of time, a tangible difference was made. That’s one of the most powerful takeaways from the day: meaningful impact doesn’t always require weeks of planning or long-term commitments. Sometimes, it’s about dedicating focused hours and showing up with intention.
For our team, the experience was both grounding and energizing. Stepping away from production schedules, travel logistics, and creative deliverables provided perspective, and a reminder of how fortunate we are to contribute our time and energy in a different way.
Working together outside of our usual environment also strengthened team connections. Packing boxes alongside colleagues reinforced the same collaboration, trust, and communication that define our work in the field, just expressed through service instead of storytelling.
Community Beyond the Workplace
One of the most meaningful aspects of the day was the sense of community that extended beyond individual organizations. Serving alongside members of the LMA Midwest Region highlighted the strength of the legal marketing community and what’s possible when professionals unite around a shared purpose.
It was inspiring to see how quickly teams formed, how naturally collaboration happened, and how collective effort translated into real results.
We’re especially grateful to LMA for hosting the event and creating a space where firms, vendors, and partners could give back together during the holiday season.
