There are public transportation options in Chicago. The Blue Line L Train goes from O’Hare airport to downtown. You can use contactless payments directly from mobile devices or any contactless card at any Ventra turn style in any station. The cost is $2.50 per ride. The trip from the airport to downtown is about 30-45 minutes. Train transfers to other L trains are free once you are in the train system.
A taxi or Uber/Lyft cost average $40-$60 depending on time of day. Be aware, there is construction on the Chicago highways, so driving during normal business hours can take between 45-60 mins. Plan accordingly.
